Construction on Antelope

This is right in front of our house.  It starts at 8:00 p.m. and goes until whenever they feel like stopping.  The flashing lights and reverse beeping noises are bugging Scarlett, Atticus, and Haven especially, we think.  Nothing we can do, I guess.  By the way, all of the snow melted again - that means it's time to snow another foot.  Boo.

At one point in the video I mention the name of a store on the side of the road "Dallas Green" which I then say is "not quite" what the weather is like but that I wish it was.

New Pics of Haven

We love having Haven, he's so sweet!  The kids love him.  He's growing so fast.  The pic of Atticus so angry is his typical mood.  Hopefully he'll outgrow it soon.  All-in-all we still love him!

Christmas 2008

This Christmas we had lost of fun, we went to see the lights, we made a gingerbread house, we got a real tree and we loved all of it.  Scarlett was so excited for Santa to come - she pretty much understood it this year.  We had a really great day and the kids loved their new toys.

Our new arrival!  December 27, 11:57 a.m.  Haven Larry Powell, 8 lbs, 20 inches.  Super-fast 3 hour birth!  He is healthy and perfect.  We absolutely love our new litte boy!

Work, School, Home, Church

I have found that my prayers consist of four major categories. Work: job related things to include pay, location, and availability. School: grades, class work, and obtaining knowledge for the future. Home: immediate* and extended family, parenting, and even the condition of others' families - like our soldiers and politicians. Church: callings, meetings, knowledge, obedience and forgiveness just about round this category up.

*It has recently come to my attention (well, actually the first time I prayed for my 'immediate' family after getting married, and then again after having Scarlett) that my immediate family is no longer restricted to my siblings and parents. In fact, depending on the issue, those people actually fall more under the 'extended' family title. I'll always feel the same closeness to those people - but who knew that you could actually feel closer to different people? So 'immediate' family has become Erin, Scarlett, Atticus and the new baby. Oh, and me, too. I wonder if there could ever be someone that is closer than yourself? Maybe once I get to know Heavenly Father better I'll figure that out.
